Bijou Noir
Bijou Noir, or Black Jewel, was created from a piece of Big Leaf Maple. After creating and hollowing the form, the design was laid out and the textured areas were then created using a high powered pyrography (wood burning) tool. The piece was then dyed black and then over coated with milk paint, which gives the high spots a pottery-like sheen.
This piece measures approximately 5.5” diameter x 3.75” high.
